Maker’s Fair, O’Reilly European Open Source Convention, Amsterdam, The Netherlands

On 19 October 2005, Low Tech Sensors and Actuators was presented at the Maker Faire of the O'Reilly European Open Source Convention in Amsterdam — one of the first public outings of the project, less than a month after its PDF release. The project, by Usman Haque and Adam Somlai-Fischer and commissioned by FACT, Liverpool, is a free handbook showing artists and architects how to hack cheap electronic toys and gadgets into sensors and actuators for interactive spaces.
