Interaction design workshop, Domus Academy, Milan, Italy

In May 2006 a low-tech workshop was held in Milan for Domus Academy together with the Ivrea Interaction Design Institute, part of the workshop series around Low Tech Sensors and Actuators by Usman Haque and Adam Somlai-Fischer, a research project commissioned by FACT, Liverpool. The project's free handbook, released in 2005, showed artists and architects how to turn cheap toys and gadgets into sensors and actuators for interactive spaces, and had passed 20,000 downloads within its first two months.
